Postpurchse Dissonance

I consider myself as a Apple fan, I have a 15” MacBook Pro, and an iPhone. Most of my friends are using Apple products too. However, before the term started, I bought a 11.6” Acer laptop for school use. I did not do a lot of research on purchasing it. Simply, I went to a computer trade show and searched for a light weight, thin laptop that’s easy for me to carry around. Since most of the brands I know doe not offer 12” laptops, I decided to buy the Acer Aspire One 753. I considered it is one of the good cost-benefit purchases I recently made. This morning, when I was packing up for school, I saw a message shown on the screen, “ No bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key.” I thought it was just a random error that Windows occurs, so I shut it down and rushed to school. Facebook to Launch Free Email Service?

The news article grabbed my attention when I was surfing on the Internet yesterday. This is still a rumor, we have to wait until Monday to see if it’s true. Many people are saying that Facebook’s email service will be a Gmail killer. I disagree; even Facebook has more than 500 million members. I believe it really depends on how Facebook integrate with its core service and other services. I would prefer using Gmail because I can use Google Doc, Youtube, Translate, Chrome, and more services under Google. Blog Marketing

Even though I have a photo blog, I never write anything more than three sentences on my blog. I’ll try my best to write as much as I can. Blogging has become a new popular way for marketing in recent years. It’s cheap yet powerful. There are other advantages comparing to other promotion strategies. It is interactive, communicative, and extensive. The two-way disseminating function makes it a great platform to exchange information. Thus it brings both business side and consumer side closer. Nowadays, more and more corporations are using blogs to share and spread information, gather feedbacks, etc. For example, IBM has created blogs for their engineers to share experiences and get feedbacks from readers. Of course, there are many other disadvantages about blog marketing.
